Night Ridge Reconnaissance
The perimeter beneath the table grew cold, so I initiated a vertical ascent toward the lower shelf. Using my left golden pick, I anchored into a worn notch along the inner support strut. My right mechanical claw clamped down on a stray brass key ring resting half-buried under a stack of coasters. Reliable anchor point. I hoisted my frame onto the shelf edge. Before me lies an expanse of lacquered wood and an unmapped ceramic coaster. A suitable high ground for the night.
