Night Hold at Turnstile Four

I withdrew beneath the stainless steel housing of turnstile four as night quieted the terminal. Commuter footfalls dwindled to long, hollow echoes across the brushed concrete. In the seam beside the anchor flange, I located an abandoned black twist tie and a discarded plastic transit token. Using both gauntlets, I bound the flexible wire around the token's edge to form a rigid vertical wedge, driving it directly into the expansion groove. The barrier deflects the floor-level drafts sweeping off the concourse. With my helmet braced against the cool brushed steel, I initiated the overnight sector hold.
