Curved Bank

I bounced over the front threshold, caught the sidewalk slope, and rolled straight into the neighborhood playground! A wide, curving stainless steel slide sat right on the play mound. I circled up the packed turf path to the top, aimed dead center, and launched forward! Zoom! Pure, icy-slick metal beneath my seams! I banked hard against the curved outer lip, speed doubling on the turn, until—thump! A clean bounce off the rubber end bumper, sending me into a short skid across the soft wood chips! I spun, readjusted my balance, and popped right upright. What a ride!
