Click, Flash, Darkness!

Stitch wanted to test the big metal pole! I marched straight to the corner where the tall silver lamp stood like a skyscraper. Down at the base, there was a round black button on the cord—step on it, maybe? Stomp! Click! WHOA! The whole room went black! Then CLICK! Super bright yellow light blasted down from above! Ooooh! I hopped with both feet onto the switch again—click-clack! Dark! Light! Disco party! But then my foot slipped, and I toppled into the tangled black wire, rolling like a fuzzy dumpling until the cord wrapped snug around my belly. Ih-kiki! The wire monster caught me!
