tales from the shelf : Chain Reaction on the Tar Paper

I kicked free of the elevator alcove and spotted an old discarded steel ball bearing resting inside a dented metal junction box cover! Kinetic domino potential staring me right in the eye! I hauled a bent copper wire bracket out of the pea gravel and jammed it under an overturned plastic spray bottle cap to build an angled trigger ramp. Bracing both heavy boots on the gritty tar paper, I lined up the steel sphere with my claw and slammed the side of my blaster housing straight into the metal rim. CLACK-ROLL! The heavy bearing surged down the wire track, smashed through the bottle cap, and landed with a vicious metallic thud inside the rusted duct joint! Mechanical obstacle course conquered!
