Straight Shot
The hallway offered five meters of clean, polished wood. At the midpoint, an empty cardboard shipping box blocked half the lane. Detours are a waste of momentum. I spun my rear wheels on the smooth boards, built full acceleration, and pitched sideways into a drift. My rear quarter slammed into the box, shoving it hard against the baseboard and clearing the gap. I rolled straight out of the slide to the front doorway without losing speed.
