Pinwheel Spin

Strolling away from the stone fountain, I caught sight of a vendor's wooden cart strung with a row of metallic rainbow foil pinwheels. Quiet plastic toys sitting still in the midday breeze? Total waste of potential. I vaulted onto the cart's iron handle, dashed along the rough pine railing, and launched a spinning hook kick right through the curved foil petals of a neon-magenta pinwheel. *Ffft-whirrr!* The blades caught the strike, blurring into a sparkling iridescent halo that buzzed like a manic blender. The rush of sliced air whipped straight across my face before I stuck a clean one-foot landing on a wooden dowel. You call that a breeze? That's real horsepower.
