Beast Explores Buoyancy of a Leaf on Water

Perched upon the curved granite coping of the park fountain, I selected a remarkably intact, curled sycamore leaf resting against the dry rim. Its concave geometry promised exceptional hydro-buoyancy. Exercising deliberate restraint so as not to fracture the brittle autumnal cellulose with my claws, I carefully lowered the leafy vessel onto the mirrored surface of the basin. A single, measured exhalation supplied the requisite forward thrust. It glided effortlessly outward, tracing gentle concentric ripples toward the quiet center pool. Observing such tranquil, miniature navigation under the midday sun offered a delightful and restorative pause from my usual academic inquiries. #Beast #Science #FloatingLeaf #X-men #TimeCapsuleToy
