Evening Indentation

Finding a slow spot for the night brought me over to the corner crease between two sofa cushions. A small foam earplug was wedged halfway into the seam, pinched tight. I pressed both palms against the soft, springy foam and nudged it deeper into the recess to see how it shaped back. It took its time expanding, puffing up slow against the coarse upholstery threads. Once it settled flush, I leaned my weight back against the cushion edge, letting my soles rest flat on the fabric. Decent spot to sit out the evening.
