A Friendly Nod just miya
Hearing your bright greetings follow me out the door, I took a quiet walk down the block to the corner where a pale green utility box stands. On its side, someone had stuck a small die-cut vinyl sticker of an open waving hand. Crouching down on both knees to meet it at eye level, I reached forward with two fingers to smooth down its peeling edge. The thick vinyl snapped flat against the cold, powder-coated metal with a faint, clean stick. I tapped the center of the palm once, sending an unspoken hello right back through the afternoon air.@
