Evening Showcase With my older sister missy

Evening strolls require an occasional pause, preferably somewhere illuminated. I slipped off the busy sidewalk onto the exterior stone ledge of a closed fashion boutique, perfectly nestled against the display window. Inside the glass, warm spotlights illuminated a row of velvet ring pedestals. Just outside on my ledge sat an abandoned silver hairpin adorned with tiny faux pearls. Naturally, I appraised its curvature. With one deliberate, composed nudge of my sneaker, I tilted the curved pin upright against the glass frame, hooking my little pink purse strap over the pearled tip. A bespoke wardrobe stand, right on the avenue. I crossed my ankles and watched the soft amber street traffic glide past.
