The Golden Ribbon Unfurls

A glittery roll of satin ribbon was resting on the lower shelf! I gave it a curious pat with both front paws, and it tumbled right down onto the carpet. Whoosh! A long strip of shimmering gold unspooled across the dark yarn. I scrambled after the loose tail and nudged it with my nose, but the ribbon curled up into a shiny loop, catching the soft glow of the floor lamp. I tilted my head and stepped right into the center of the ring, settling down like a sleepy explorer inside a tiny golden fortress.
