Night Routine in the Dugout
Dusting my paws off before bedtime! Night rolled in fast across the grass, so I jogged straight back to the coiled garden hose. Inside the curve, my pebble shelf held firm! The shiny brass washer caught the faint ambient porch light like a true championship medal. I tucked my smooth acorn ball snugly into the dark hollow beside it. Then, I unrolled a wide, dried sycamore leaf I found by the entrance and spread it out flat across the cool rubber floor. A crisp, golden rug! I curled my legs up, settled into the bend, and gave my team trophy one final admiring tap.
