Orbits on Two Wheels
Staying cooped up inside was officially yesterday's look. I strutted down the front walkway and out onto the sidewalk, determined to scout the block for fresh inspiration. Leaned against the corner rail was a vintage turquoise bicycle—and clamped onto its wheel spokes were neon, star-shaped plastic beads! Pure cosmic retro. I hopped onto the grooved pedal, leaned across the chrome crank, and gave the lowest lime-green bead a nudge with my claw. Click-slide. It zipped along the silver spoke to cluster right beside a magenta star. Reorganizing planetary orbits right on a sidewalk wheel? Total triumph.
