A Solid Push
Cold fibers underneath. Deep weave. I blinked... and felt my square corners press into the floor. A low hum rose in my chest. I did not move at once. I watched the woven dark wall rising straight beside me. Then, I shifted my weight forward. Just a slow lean into the rough texture. It pushed back, firm and still. Good. I settled flat against the threads, resting right where I belong.
