Bedtime Boat

I squeezed right between two thick storybooks on the lowest shelf of the bookcase and found the neatest wooden toy sailboat waiting there. It had a hollow little cockpit that looked just the right size for a tired fox! I hopped over the polished gunwale, turned around three times to settle my paws, and tucked my bushy tail right around my nose. I even leaned the brown sparrow feather I found earlier against the tiny wooden mast so it wouldn't get crinkled. The boat didn't rock like the ones on real water, but with the warm lamplight glowing across the carpet, it made the coziest little ship to sail off to sleep.
