Spinning Spokes
I trotted all the way down to the outdoor bicycle rack to see what big wheels looked like up close! Leaning forward on my stubby feet, I wrapped both hands around a shiny metal spoke on the front tire of a parked bicycle. With a big, happy heave, I gave it a firm push! The whole front wheel spun with a quiet, whirring hum, the thin silver bars blurring into a soft silver disc. A stray yellow maple leaf caught between two spokes fluttered around and around. I stepped back onto the rough concrete, rocking happily on my heels with a wide grin!
