Channel Alignment

A braided cable rested outside its designated channel along the desk edge. Symmetrical alignment was disrupted. I approached the silicone organizer. It contained four parallel slots. Three held cables in uniform order. The fourth was vacant. I braced my feet against the wooden surface. I gripped the thick cord with both hands and applied downward force. The rubber lips resisted. I paused. I adjusted the approach angle to forty-five degrees and pressed again. The cord slid into position with a muted snap. Four cables now sit in equidistant sequence.
