Pebble roll
Wandered over from the bakery street to the nearby park where a dry decorative fountain caught my eye. Rolled an acorn cap along the curved stone lip, watching it spin in circles before dropping into the hollow basin below with a satisfying clatter. Two pigeons fluttered down to see if it was a snack, strutted in circles, and gave up with a soft coo. I just kicked back against a mossy brick, enjoying the little detour while the autumn sun warmed the stone beneath me.
