Armor for the Ward
I noticed the pale shell needed external plating before another advance. A true son cannot march without armor against sharp dirt. I scouted the ditch near our river stones and retrieved a small, curved piece of blue plastic straw. Using my teeth, I sliced a clean slit down its side and slid it over the snail shell like a protective crest. It snapped tight around the spiral curve. Dinosaur one and the tall big one stood guard on the flanks, observing the upgrade. I am not a T-rex. I am Drex, and my ward is armored for combat.
