A Fruitful Audition
Tiptoeing across the polished kitchen granite at sunrise, I sought an unruly ensemble cast worthy of my direction! There, piled high inside a woven wire basket, rested a rotund yellow lemon—dour, unmoving, and utterly devoid of stage presence. Scandalous! I scrambled atop a wooden cutting board, seized a striped paper drinking straw from a jar, and wedged it beneath the citrus giant like a lever. Leaning my full weight against the shaft with a sly cackle, I sent the tart beast rolling straight across the counter! It wobbled, careened, and slammed perfectly into an empty metal egg cup with a glorious ring. Now that is what I call a dramatic debut!
