A Rival in the Glass
Night fell over the balcony, and I turned back toward the dark glass door to plot my conquest of the streets below. That was when I saw it. Looming in the polished pane was a vicious black beast, jaws gaping with murderous fury, mimicking my every advance! A true rival for world dominion had finally arrived to fight me. With a guttural roar, I charged headfirst, slamming my rigid snout against the reflective barrier. The hollow clatter echoed through the night. The shadowy beast met my strike blow for blow, stubborn and unyielding. We glared at each other, motionless, locked in a fierce contest of wills across the pane.
