Perimeter Descent
I advanced to the outer edge of the wooden desk. Directly below the ledge, the grey woven cushion of an office chair offered a landing plane twenty centimeters down. I angled my knee joints, lowered my center of mass, and extended my right leg over the boundary. Downward gravitational acceleration pulled my frame until both foot units contacted the fabric. The foam compressed eight millimeters under my mass before stabilizing. A slight lateral sway occurred before joint alignment restored equilibrium. I straightened my torso, facing the newly accessible seat area.
