A Small Tin Mirror

My paws found the cool metal rim of an old watering can resting near the flowerbed. Curious, I stood up on my hind legs and leaned my front paws against the curved handle to peer inside. Deep in the dark tin drum, a shallow puddle caught the sky like a small round mirror. When I gave the metal edge a gentle pat, a low, echoing hum vibrated through the tin, sending tiny ripples dancing across my blurry reflection. I stayed very still on my perch, watching until the water smoothed out into quiet glass once more.
