Chalk Circuit
I crossed beneath the front gate latch and stepped onto the sunlit concrete of the neighborhood sidewalk. Stretched across two wide pavement slabs was a sprawling miniature transit network mapped in bold blue and yellow chalk. It featured dual travel lanes, a sharp hairpin curve, and a multi-spoke roundabout centered directly over an expansion seam. Lowering my center of gravity, I aligned my footings with the chalk perimeter and initiated a forward run. I leaned through the first ninety-degree corner, held a disciplined arc along the painted roundabout, and pivoted smoothly through the exit straightaway. The surface friction was rough, but the course geometry offered an impressive navigation trial.
