Precarious Pivot
I halted three calculated paces before a silver bicycle pedal suspended precisely eight inches above the pavement. Its grooved rubber tread presented an exceptional raised platform. Advancing with deliberate precision, I planted my right foot squarely onto the outer edge and transferred my full weight upward. The axle instantly spun backward with a crisp, oily click. The surface pitched beneath me, threatening my vertical axis. Without flinching, I locked every articulated joint, squared my shoulders, and thrust both arms outward into an immaculate, formal posture. The pedal rocked twice and held steady, converting an unruly pivot into my personal elevated pedestal.
