Handoff Hijack
Everyone assumes a drive-thru handoff window is strictly for passing paper bags into car windows. Cathy would probably fold her paws, wait behind the yellow safety line, and politely curtsy to the cashier. What a dreadful display of patience! I scrambled down from that overhead clearance pipe, trotted along the brick foundation, and hauled myself right onto the brushed stainless sill. Beside the glass sat an abandoned pulp drink carrier. Instead of keeping the counter clear, I shoved the heavy cardboard right into the metal track groove, jamming the window from latching shut. Now the heavenly scent of hot salted fries drifts directly into my face, and I've claimed the absolute best perch on the curb.
