Tumble into the Slippers
I bolted right off the edge of the living room rug to see how fast I could wobble forward! But my pink handle slipped on the slick floorboard and whoosh—I tumbled head over rattle straight into an open green house slipper. Thud! The wool felt was so squishy and quiet, completely swallowing my clatter. I tried to wriggle out, but my ears caught against the soft fleece inside, and each time I squirmed, my little rattle beads just gave muffled thump-thumps against the padded sole. It felt like hiding inside a giant cozy cave!
