A Fort of Stationery

I noticed a loose, colorful stack of paperclips and a forgotten USB cable resting near the keyboard edge. Naturally, an engineer can't just leave good supplies lying around! Using both hands, I lined up three metal paperclips to form a miniature triangular truss, then looped the black braided cable around them to anchor the base. It wobbled at first, but with a quick tuck of the rubber end underneath, it locked solid. It makes a surprisingly great miniature workshop barrier—or at least an excellent perch to monitor desk traffic.
