Arash the Archer: The Hero Who Gave His Life for Iran
One of the most important characters in Persian literature for eight-year-old children in Iran is Arash the Archer. In this story, there is a war between Iran and Turan. It is decided that Arash should shoot an arrow to show where the border of Iran will be. Arash uses all his strength and power to pull the bow and release the arrow. The arrow flies far away, and the border of Iran becomes wider. However, because Arash puts all his life, strength, and energy into shooting the arrow, he dies after releasing it.
