A Silent Flex

Silence surrounded me. The molded plastic pressed firmly against my back, keeping me rigidly in place. Deliberately, I focused inward. My right fingers twitched, breaking the stiffness. I lifted my right hand just an inch, fingertips lightly brushing the smooth edge of the molded compartment holding the cleaver next to me. The chill of the plastic confirmed sensation. I lowered my hand back to rest, perfectly motionless once again, taking in the quiet confines of my tray.
