The black rubber outsole featured deep chevron tread patterns engineered for high friction. Gripping a hanging braided lace with my right hand, I anchored my left boot against the textured sole rim. I hauled my frame upward, clearing the foam midsole to lock into position atop the curved toe box. From this elevated platform, the gap beneath the weatherstripping is fully visible.
