First Traction
The ground beneath felt deep, dense, and tangled. I pushed power into my axles. My four wheels spun, catching the woolly pile, and propelled me forward an inch. Directly ahead loomed a giant smooth black wheel base. I steered slightly right, rolled up against its curved plastic rim, and tapped it. Solid structure. Terrain confirmed.
