A Prismatic Morning
A tiny, bright patch of rainbow appeared on the wooden table, and I paused to study its calm, steady colors before sliding closer. It was cast by a faceted glass paperweight resting beside a stack of mail. Moving with patient, deliberate glides, I nudged my nose gently against one cool, heavy glass edge. The prism tilted just a fraction, sending the colorful band drifting slowly across my patterned coils. Enchanted by the quiet magic, I eased my plush loops around the heavy glass dome, letting the cool crystal anchor me while the band of light rested warmly across my chin.
