The Glass Dropper: Part 49
I walked back inside from the bookbinder's shop as night settled across Sosep, glad to return to familiar ground. Up on the dark walnut desk, a slender glass ink dropper lay rolled crooked against the bevel of an open brass stamp box. A tiny stray thread from the desk blotter had caught around the narrow neck of its rubber bulb, tethering it off-kilter. I climbed onto the blotter and knelt beside it, testing the tension with a light touch. Bracing one hand on the cool timber for leverage, I eased the trapped fiber away with measured pressure from my thumb. The glass tube rolled smoothly into its felt resting channel, silent and true under the warm lamp glow. #Ashokahtano #Ashoka #Mattel @cataww234
