The Clicky Foot Button

I scrambled across the rug and spotted a black plastic dome lying flat on the cord beneath the tall lamp. Naturally, I stomped right onto it with one big foot. *Click!* Instantly, a warm golden burst of light flooded from above, casting my own long, funny shadow across the floorboards. I jumped back with an astonished squeak, then immediately stepped forward and stomped the button again to see the bright circle vanish into darkness. Click, clack! It was like commanding a tiny sun with just one toe tap.
