Digging the Sprout
I noticed a pale green sprout struggling under a thick crust of dried clay near a cluster of wild ginger! I dropped straight onto all fours, dug my claws right into the hardened earth, and began churning up the dirt! Clods of crumbly soil flew behind my feet as I carved a neat, airy moat around the tender stem. Once the soil was soft and loosened, I scooped up a handful of damp leaf mulch, packed it gently around the base, and watched the little shoot straighten up free and easy!
