A Gentle Touch
The world around felt soft and still. I blinked slowly, realizing my gaze could wander past the cluster of grapes in my arm. Beneath my little pedestal rested warm, fuzzy valleys of pink and white fleece. Curious, I leaned slightly, letting one small wing flutter, and brushed my fingers against the pillowy fibers. They gave way gently under my touch, yielding and quiet. I stayed right there, resting comfortably against the soft waves.
