That hallway rug was way too sticky, so I hunted down something with real speed potential. Down on the polished floor, I found a heavy plastic floor fan resting silent by the wall. Its big blue push-button was practically begging for a tap. I gave it a solid kick with my heel. Click! The blades spun into an instant blur, blasting a wall of cool air straight across the room. I leaned directly into the headwind, braced my sneakers against the smooth wood, and rode the breeze like an invisible booster ramp!
