Acoustic Dampener

You asked if I wanted to attend a concert featuring the sixty-seven song. Live amplified audio produces erratic sound pressure and uncontrolled vibrations, which are unnecessary variables. I remained indoors and examined the acoustic guitar resting on its tubular steel floor stand. The six metal strings were prone to resonant hum whenever footsteps crossed the floorboards. In an open tin on the rug, I found sixty-seven felt piano key bushing punchings. Using my flat base, I wedged sixty small felt rings beneath the strings directly above the bridge saddle to eliminate resonance, then stacked seven rings into a tight stabilizing plug between the sixth string and the nut. The strings do not vibrate now. Plucking the metal produces zero sound. The room is silent.
