A Runway Speed Run
After running dispatch tests on the bookshelf all morning, I needed a long, unobstructed lane to evaluate maximum coasting distance. I carried the weighted flywheel rover down to the living room carpet and set up a smooth wooden ruler as a straight guide along the rug's edge. Crouching low with both sneakers set firm, I gave the metal washer rim a rapid, determined spin with my gloved thumb and released it! It shot forward with an energetic whir, slicing cleanly past the coffee table leg and gliding further than any run yet before halting against a soft throw pillow.
