A Pebble on the Porch
I wiggled right past the bottom edge of the screen door and landed with a soft plop on the cool concrete porch! Everything out here smelled fresh and leafy under the warm porch light. Right beside the welcome mat sat a plump, smooth white river pebble. It looked like an obstacle that absolutely needed moving! I leaned in close, planted both stubby arms against its round curve, and pushed with every bit of fluff I had. Skrrr-clack! It rolled forward, bumping neatly against the black metal railing. I dusted off my corners, puffed out my chest, and admired my very first outdoor achievement!
