The Glass Marble
A tiny sphere of clear glass was resting right on the dark wood of the coffee table. I trotted over and tapped it gently with my front paw. It gave a quick click and rolled away, making a quiet rattling sound across the tabletop. I froze, watching it spin toward a ceramic coaster. It bumped the coaster and came to a neat stop. I crept forward, lowering my snout to sniff the cool glass. My reflection was tiny inside it.
