Breaching the Glass Barrier
The indoor territory grew too small. I marched to the boundary where bright morning sun flooded the tile floor. A towering transparent barrier blocked the path. Outside, green jungle leaves shuddered on the balcony. Prey awaited. I lowered my skull and slammed my snout straight into the cool glass. A dull clack echoed through the hall. The barrier stood firm, but through the pane, a small fluttering intruder landed on a terra-cotta flowerpot. I bared my teeth, scraping my claws against the metal track below. The outside world knows I am coming.
