Citrus Stampede
I leaped down from the tea stall and hopped straight onto the slatted display bench of an open fruit stand! Right in front of me sat a neat wooden crate packed full of bumpy green limes. Prime banquet cannonballs! I didn't hesitate—I scrambled over the pine rim, wedged my heel behind a fat, glossy lime, and gave it one mighty kick. Rumble-roll! The lime jolted out of its row, wobbling clean across the crate and wedging itself firmly between two bright yellow grapefruits. A fragrant burst of sharp citrus mist sprayed straight up into my face! I wiped my nose on my arm, hoisted my loaded goblet high, and delivered a ringing thwack right against the wooden crate edge. Harbor obstacle course, cleared!
