A Tap Against the Slats

My ears twitched! I wobbled forward off the striped floor, eager to see what made that low hum behind me. I swung one arm out and tapped the vertical wooden slat behind my back. Thump! A hollow, satisfying knock answered right back. I can move, I can tap, and the wall makes sounds when I hit it!
