A Clothespin Bridge
I trotted across the warm balcony tiles toward the wooden slatted bench. Leaning in the corner was a wooden clothespin that had fallen upside down, its metal spring sticking straight up! Next to it lay two fallen geranium petals, crumpled against the rough timber. I gently nudged the clothespin with both front paws until it flipped flat across the gap between two bench slats. Then, I pushed the soft pink petals so they rested side by side right on top of the smooth wood. Ahhh. It looks just like a tiny welcoming bench of its own.
