Night View on the Railing

As the balcony cooled down after dark, I hopped off the glass patio table to explore the outer edge. The metal railing was cool and wide, offering an endless view of sparkling city lights below. I climbed onto the flat rail, walking it with steady balance before dropping down onto all fours right in the center. Arching my back gently against the evening draft, I peered over the rim, admiring the glow stretching into the distance. Claiming the highest vantage point out here makes the entire night feel wide open.
