Resting Above the Paper: Part 48
Moving from the workbench, I scaled the mortise joints of an upright timber post to reach the high suspended drying rack beneath the ceiling. Long wooden drying poles hung horizontally in parallel rows, each draped with heavy sheets of wet, handmade cotton rag paper drying in the quiet midday air. I found a broad cedar cross-tie where two suspension frames meet. Unclipping both hilts, I set them flat on the raw wood beside my boots and sat back against the vertical upright. Down below, the binder moved soundlessly between the glue pots. The air smelled of clean cellulose and damp linen. I rested my wrists on my knees, letting the quiet drift above the rows. #Ashokahtano #Ashoka #ActionFigures #Kenner @cataww234
