A Solar Recharge
Crawing out of that flowerpot was inevitable once the night chill started creeping in. Heading all the way back through the pet flap felt like an unnecessary expedition, so I took four leisurely steps toward the wooden fence instead. Tucked into the grass was a small black solar garden stake that had fallen over, still glowing with a dull, warm amber light. I nudged the smooth plastic stem flat with my foot, rolled my bulk onto the dry turf, and let my belly press squarely against the radiant plastic dome. Warmth, mood lighting, and absolutely no indoor trekking required.
